Subject: Engineering vs. Scientific Method


At one end of a long hallway is a beautiful blond woman (nude).  At the 
other end of the hallway stand a scientist and an engineer.  Each is told
that they can take as many steps as they like towards the blond, but
each step only as large as 1/2 the distance remaining between themself
and the woman.  Each is asked then how many steps are required to
reach her.

The scientist responds that under the circumstances he will never
reach her.

The engineer replies that after 10 steps, he will be close enough.
